Family Fundraising

As a non-profit organization, and, in order to keep tuition affordable for our families, we rely heavily on fundraising (raising money) to support our school. These funds give our teachers the tools they need to create a rich learning environment, increase resources, and fund general improvements of the facility and grounds.

This balance will be due in early May

1 Child Family $650
2 Child Family $850
3 Child Family $1,050
4 Child Family $1,250

Some examples of opportunities that may be available for the next school year are:

  • Family Fitness Walk-A-Thon
  • Silent Auction
  • Online Auction
  • Sponsorship
  • Read-A-Thon

If you do not wish to raise money you do have the option of paying out by adding the payout fee to your tuition payments.

The office will keep track of your fundraising balance through your MySJBS account. If you have a question about your balance, please e-mail Mrs. Knox at bknox@sjbs.org.

The BASIC Fund is a privately funded program which provides scholarships to thousands of students each year. Families become eligible for BASIC Fund scholarships if at least one child from the family will be entering grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) – 8th in a private school for the first time. Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Applications received after the March deadline will be placed on a waitlist and will be awarded periodically through the summer as funds become available.

If at any time during the school year there are unexpected financial difficulties, please notify the Principal, Mr. Brazil. Arrangements can be made before your account becomes delinquent. We try to offer support and financial aid to those families who sincerely want a Catholic education for their child but find that financially, it is a hardship.
