Welcome to 7th grade at St. John the Baptist School!  I am thrilled that you will be in my class this year!  I look forward to exploring a variety of literature with you this year.  We will study poetry, classics, and modern literature.We will collaborate as a team to create the best possible experience for each student individually and our class  as a whole.  Our classroom community will be grounded in mutual respect, a comfortable environment that invites all questions, and a passion to make learning a life-long adventure.

After a long career in corporate law, I decided to pursue a new career in Education.  I have been teaching for 16 years at St. Joseph in Fremont, St. Christopher in San Jose, and most recently at St. John the Baptist in the Diocese of San Jose.  My favorite subject is English Literature, and I’m a whiz at Grammar, so I am delighted to be back in middle school, focusing on English Language Arts.  I hope to inspire students to have a love for reading and writing, skills that will stay with them throughout high school and beyond.
