Thank you for visiting the webpage for St. John the Baptist Catholic School, a “faith-filled and family-oriented community” that has served students in the Silicon Valley since 1987.  Throughout that time, SJBS has educated children and embraced and supported families of various religious traditions, families who express faith in different ways.  Together, our families share values of love, respect, learning, and growth within a Catholic school community that sees each member as “God’s work of art”-- unique, gifted, and on their own path of learning and growth.

I am proud to serve with a dedicated staff, a true team who willingly collaborate together to help our students develop as whole human beings -- academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  The teachers are dedicated professionals who are motivated by genuine care for their students. 

I myself have been part of this community since 1993 -- for many years as a middle school teacher and, since 2016, as principal.  Our success as an educational community during that time has taught me that a school can have a strong educational program that employs highly effective teaching methodologies with a meaningful and evolving technological component for all students while, underlying everything, remaining dedicated to the cultivation of a deeply “caring environment for every child. Additionally, in my long experience at SJBS, I have consistently been aware of and grateful for a dedicated community of parents and families who support the mission of the school.
