Information for SJBS Summer Programs

April 29, 2021

Dear SJBS Community,

The school has been working for weeks to construct summer program opportunities that are responsive to the needs of students and families at this time. This post offers information and registration opportunities for summer programs that will be offered by the school this year.

SJBS will be offering three school programs this summer for students enrolling for the 2021-22 school year:

1. Academic Summer School for students going into kindergarten through 5th grade will take place from June 14-July 2, focused on addressing learning loss or needed skill developments in math and language arts; limit 20 students per class.

2. Summer School Enrichment Program is open to students going into kindergarten-8th grade and will take place from June 14-August 6, with a daily focus on math and language arts (including help and feedback for summer work), STEM, physical education, art, and classes on special subjects such as nutrition and gardening.

3. Three Art Class sessions with Mrs. Doan, our fourth grade teacher, on June 17, June 24, and July 1 from 1-3 PM, open to students entering grades 4-8.

Students who enroll in the Academic Summer School may also enroll in half-day Summer School Enrichment Program from 12 noon until 5:30 PM (latest pick-up).

ALL summer activities will be in person and will strictly follow state school guidelines for COVID safety, including use of facemasks, physical distancing, ventilation, and sanitization procedures.

The links to registration forms are available on ParentSquare.

If you have any questions about these programs, please direct them to the office and we will make sure you receive the information that you need.

God bless you and your families,

Mr. Chris Brazil

Principal
