Fundraisers

Each family has an obligation to raise funds during the school year.  The primary method is through the purchase of SCRIP and/or participation in the fundraisers sponsored by the PTG (Parent-Teacher Group).  Below is a list of the fundraisers scheduled for the 2009-2010 year:

Name: Scrip
Description: The SCRIP program at St. John’s School is an easy way to meet the family fundraising obligation.  The school is able to purchase gift certificates at a small discount from numerous retail outlets, grocers, and restaurants.  The gift certificates are then sold to St. John’s families and friend at face value.  The small discount amount is our profit, which is credited towards the purchaser’s fundraising obligation.  Please send all Scrip orders are sent to the school office.  Once filled, the order will be held for pickup either in the office or, families who regularly use Extended Day may pick up their orders in Daycare by indicating it on the order form.  Order forms are available through the school office or on-line here.
Date: All Scrip purchased before March 31, 2010, will be applied toward the family fundraising obligation for this 2009-2010 school year.

Name: Junior High Fundraiser
Description: For all students. The goal of this fundraiser is to offset the cost of the Junior High Science Camp and Retreat Programs. This year the fundraiser is extended to all families. If you have a jr. high student, this fundraiser will apply first to the class fees. Any additional monies will be applied to your fundraising obligation. 50% of all orders will apply to the class fees and fundraising goals.

Name: Walk-A-Thon
Description: For all students. Hot lunch is available for all families who participate in this event. All students must have a parent or guardian attend. Students may wear their Halloween costumes - (remember safety first - no masks) Pledge Sheets are available in the school office. See school bulletin for further information. 100% of all pledges money will apply towards your fundraising goal.

Name: Christmas Candy Sale
Description: 50% of all candy sold will be applied to your fundraising goals. Candy for this event will be Christmas candy only.
