I am Ms. Vanessa Salgado A.K.A "Ms. V." I was born in Managua, Nicaragua a small country in Central America. My Native language is Spanish.

At the age of 19, I got the great opportunity to work here at St. John's school in the Extended Care Program. During this time I was also looking into several classes I needed to take to become a Psychologist.

While working in the Extended Care Program, one of my tasks was to assist students with their homework, especially those who were having trouble understanding. This was a great experience for me!!

When I was able to show the students a different way to approach the problem and they got it, I felt so good. After experiencing this, my thoughts of becoming a Psychologist ended. I knew after helping the students, that teaching was the right field for me!!! It is so priceless to me to know that someone has learned or is learning something because of my help. I love teaching!!

I also graduated from a Catholic school and I think that it is important to keep God in our schools. Catholic education reinforces the foundations of faith taught to us by our parents and the Catholic Church. I believe that Catholic education strengthens the values of family and faith. I am so blest to be a part of it.

I love spending time with the students, especially with the little ones!! They make my day everyday!!!

In my free time I enjoy hiking, biking, baking and scrapbooking.
