My Name is Deidre Fager and I have been teaching at St. John the Baptist School for 13 years. I am originally from the Bay Area and grew up in Mountain View. I graduated from St. Joseph's Elementary School and St. Francis High School. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Santa Clara University . I did not go into teaching however, until I was in my mid-thirties. I had been in sales prior to that and decided that I wanted to do something that would have a greater impact on the community. I returned to school and received my teaching credential from San Jose State University.

I really enjoy teaching at a Catholic School because we are able to teach about our faith. I feel that we are not just teaching math, or reading, but also how to be good, responsible citizens. We are preparing our students to face the challenges of our changing world in a way that expresses our strong belief in our Loving Father.

I am an active member of Alpha Phi International Fraternity which does a lot of charity work in our community. I am also married and have three children and a granddaughter on the way. My husband and I enjoy traveling and attending San Francisco Giants games.
