My name is Heather Hinkley, and I am originally from Milpitas, California. I was a student here at St. John's school until 8th grade and then went on to Notre Dame High School in San Jose. After high school graduation I went on to a teaching college in Oregon for two years. I then completed my bachelors degree and teaching credential at Long Beach State University. This is my seventh year as a teacher, but only my second year as a first grade teacher. My first five years were spent in third grade.
I really enjoy teaching at a Catholic school because of the sense of community it gives me. Not only are we a faith community, but also a family that cares and helps each other. I enjoy talking to my students about God and the many gifts He has given us. We talk about the Golden Rule, and how it makes us better people.
